Happy 2025 guys…. now time for me to backtrack to 2022. Let’s see what I can remember. I’m gonna catch up to current year I swear…. 2022 was a wild year, my S2k was pretty much completed and running and then shortly not running by the end of it and then I got it running again I think? It was wild man! I pretty much go through my phone and pull the photos I took over the course of the year and make a compilation. Just a few more years and we caught up boys! I find myself using a DSLR less and less over the years, I can’t be bothered carrying it around anymore, is the passion lost? Low key, it sorta is, but that’s like everything you’ve been doing for so long…..But I’ll keep soldiering on.
Somehow first picture of this year is a Toda Racing Employee uniform I bought off of YAJ……
Imported this DB8…. which has since been sold! This was an interesting experience.
This is an Engine for a friends car that I finally put in recently in 2025…. It’s an Inlinepro Stock rebuild with OEM Honda OS pistons, Toda Oil Control Orifice, WPC treated Stock camshafts, and a cylinder head refreshed by portflow..
I installed this Toda Racing Upgraded Oil Pump Gear into either my b-series that’s in my EG civic or the ITR. I like to do this mod on any B series car that hits the track.
My S2k still coming together….I replaced the oem foam from the heater with super strong and industrial stuff from McMaster car. Shortly after the dash was remounted…
The old brake booster was showing some age so I got a brand new one from Honda….. because I might as well.
Toda Racing Brake S2000 Lines + you can see some of the spoon caliper peaking out.
I installed a Orange Ball S2000 Fuel Tank Baffle, it’s supposed to combat fuel starve on track. I followed the directions to a T, including the bleeding arm part.
Valentines Day, I took my buddys ITR to get flowers.
Checked out a cleannnn red interior car at Formula S
I picked up this beatttt ASM bar for $20 awhile back. I put it on for shits and giggles…
Dash back in.
Testing bezel fitment here….
I was commissioned to change the clutch on this E30M3. I took it to get some coffee and this tree looked nice.
I believe this is when Fujiwara Tofu cafe just opened up not too far from me…. I went to go check it out.
I was holding a set of Brand new OEM red carpets…. they finally went in.
I was commissioned to change the clutch on the E30M3, here it is on the lift for a clutch job.
Crazy aggressive OS Giken Clutch is going out for a OEM style one.
ASM center console cover installed, it is just a cover so an OEM cover is needed to be installed prior. I found a random leather suzuka blue one online…
A buddy blew his engine at the track in a 96 spec DC2 ITR….He said he money shifted it, this is actually same one I used to get flowers on valentines day….. first thing I did was remove the spark plugs and this is what I saw.
Head came off next…..oh boy it’s not looking good.
The damage is incredible. Piston to valve clearance, piston broke off into many pieces, OEM cylinder sleeve completely cracked…..
Since the ITR is done, my friend was still running a full season of Honda Time Attack Challenge aka HTAC. We decided to take all of the good suspension parts off of the ITR and move it into my EG civic to give him a fighting chance and continue the season! Keep in mind my civic only has a GSR engine in it not an ITR
My buddies M3 looking good!
S2k ASM shift boot, S2k ASM Center Console, brand new OEM carpet getting cleaned, and cluster install!
The snap on man causing major damage….
I installed a new Cardone Brake Booster for my EG civic since I went with a 15/16″ non ABS Integra Master cylinder. The holes are positioned differently. When you install a new brake master, the honda factory service manual recommends a specific clearance for the rod from the booster to the brake master…. What you see is an OEM honda special tool for checking clearance with a feeler gauge *damn you snap on man*. The car was locking up brakes when just drivin before doing this…
My Civic…… After being owned by a friend, after being stolen, is shinning in first place at HTAC….
Brand new Brake booster installed!
While the ITR was done with a blown engine, my friend acquired a DC2 ITR gen 2 Mugen Wing from me….
back when Cody’s car lived at formula s.
Imported a Snapon Tote from Japan
OEM radio block off plate installed!
my friend drove the hell out of it… .Sorry cali photo
At the end of the season my friend with the civic took first place at HTAC for street class in my lowly civic that used to be owned by a friend and was really ruined by the previous owner….
I picked up a Zero Auto Factory full CF hood for the EG to shed some weight…. but my EG has a bent ass core support…. I still ran it.
Comptech intake was in the rule book, so I ran it!
Modernized the B18C with Coil on plugs, running S2k Coilpacks of course…. I also did an 98 spec ITR integra 4-1 header…..
not too long later my koyo rad died…… so I went to oem style.
Although progress was being made, being a home garage having one car down, and another car being worked on, the S2k became a trash bin again…
But that interior coming together!
It was ready for some break in oil. I went with motul….
Fujiwara Tofu Cafe was hosting a skyline meet…. mind you this is 2022 so the r34 wasn’t legal yet. @cwunit came down from Canada with some homies..s
S2000 Toda Exhaust manifold installed! man it’s getting close!
Momo Tuner wheel installed + wiring being done for additional sensors… since 2022 I’ve gotten a lot better at wiring. low key, this makes me cringe…. Around this time I started the S2k. I am seriously due to post all the footage up I took around this time… my video content quality is not where I want it, but content is content am I right?
Formula S with the RG-O Duck bill on the shop CR.
While I was at Formula S, I borrowed a stock JDM seat to run in my car.
getting ready to sync the throttles with this synchronizer
Clock delete installed on the EG and ZOOM mirror! Saving weight where ever I can.
After careful consideration I got a brand new OEM Brake Master Cylinder to pair with my brand new OEM brake booster….
getting closer, you can see AC not plugged in yet…
At some point I went to Japan…. I’ll make a separate post with my 2022 Japan trip.
I visited my parents in VA….. My friend told me to pull up to summit point raceway for a drift event. I went to the wrong part of the track…. it looks like a grip event was going on. Crazy to see PCI parts all the way out in VA, their shop used to be next to my buddy’s.
My dad let me borrow his Mercedes Benz Turbo Diesel sedan.
My friend Ian POS AE86 Drift car. I would call it a missile but my friend swears it’s not. Gave me a crash course in drifting….
I was in VA for a week and was already bored…..I decided to pick up a car. I bought this 2003 Toyota MR-S to drive around….
It’s seen better days but the price was right.
Midship runabout! This just sips fuel, takes regular too.
Stock seats suck so I threw in my old S2k seats I had sitting at my parent’s house.
A weird but common issue on the Toyota MR-S is that the E-brake lines seize up…. If you see pictures of some for sale you will see wheel chalks holding it up, now you know why…. I actually went ahead and replaced the e brake with new OEM ones which requires dropping the fuel tank….
Copped an ASM registration holder.
My dad gave me one of his old snapon wrenches…
ASM fenders installed!
Things were getting a lot more serious here….
There is a longer story to this, but long story short I got an BMW E30M3 of my own in 2022…. Say hello to my Euro Spec Slick Top E30M3. This car was originally an AC Schnitzer S3 2.5 sport package which comes with a stroked up engine from the factory 2.3 liter. Besides the being an AC Schnitzer E30M3, it’s a slicktop aka no sunroof, and euro spec, so it has a dog leg transmission, has an e30M3 EVO 2 front spoiler and rear decklid spoiler, and it was built by some cool tuners in Japan. With that being said it came with these super rare TE37 in 5×120 16″ + 18….. super awesome AP Racing brake calipers, and QUANTUM suspension….oh yeah it has a full rollcage and was raced on Tsukuba….
Yep Tsukuba
The problem with buying cars sight unseen…..of course this car came with a million problems. I didn’t even get this from a Japanese car auction…l got it from a private seller…This picture was taken after the starter decided to take a shit and I had to ask random chinese tourist to help me push the car. This was the first of my many many many problems. I’ll let you in on a secret, this car ran like shit until 2024…. after I figured out a majority of the issues. Biggest issue is that the car would go full lean after 20% throttle like lean lean….. When it wasn’t it was running RICH as hell…… Sure looks cool though.
First order of business. Starter replacement…… Went with a WOSP Starter out of the UK. Only unit in stock locally. I got it same day.
I swear this car is an EX SEV demo car. It’s everywhere. On the Shock towers, on the head, on the brake calipers, on the radiator hoses…
Carbon “DTM” airbox going on….. the car also had a bad fuel pressure regulator, when I removed the vacuum line to it fuel came out…. You can also see that the rollcage extends to the shock towers.
SEV apparently doesn’t stop rust. More on SEV in my Japan post later….
Around the same time the m3 arrived, my friend got an EVO 4.
A buddy sourced a B18c Toda racing head from me…..
Full Toda Racing spec.
Ported and polished!
the bottom side looking proper.
At this point I wanted to do away with the OEM fuel pumps and filter. I decided to change the fuel pump to an in tank style one. yes in tank fuel pump for E30 M3! I’m pretty sure the purist are crying. I went with an AEM fuel pump. This was not the final form, this particular setup kept breaking….
showed up at an all makes welcome car meet in long beach….. The Audi next to me is owned by Scotto from Hoonigan…
I decided to run AN lines from the Fuel tank…. Here is me flaring the factory hardline and converting it to a -5AN. The adapter allows it to accept a -6AN hose. I love this Rigid tool for making 37 degree flares for AN lines. For the E30 BMW guys in the search, the OEM Feed line in a E30 M3 is -5AN….. this info was really hard for me to find.
Took the Tom’s Supercharged LS430 for a drive…. and blew a tire.
First and at the time, latest.
I didn’t forget about this car….. my friend pretty much gave me his AP2 headlights…
other fender on and headlight!
Bumper is on… oh yeah I got this bumper from ASM….. It is the actual bumper from their race car…..
yeah this one.
in 2022 this is what my garage looked like….. Dead ITR, S2k in pieces, E30M3 together but not really running right…. I knew I had to get cars working….
I got wheels for the car 17×10 +44 CE28N….
Spoon calipers of course… you can see the Ikeya upper control arms peaking out. This spec clears spoon calipers like a charm.
I mocked up the S2000 Mugen Rollbar….at this point I was just keeping stuff in my s2k since I was running out of space in my garage.
installed a wideband in the E30M3 to see what my AFR are looking like….
E30M3 was already converted to coilpacks from the previous owner…
The BMW E30M3 was running a SR20 CAS for triggering….. very interesting
ECU is from a S13……
Somehow they got this s13 ecu to work on this E30M3! Insane
Just LA things, just a Mercedes-Benz gull wing no biggie.
Getting ready to drill into my brand new OEM fresh carpet for the mugen rollbar…. BTW the carpets have been since discontinued….
Yep I did it.
Borrowed an Recaro RSGE seat from a friend… I actually like this seat since the bolsters are so low. It’s nice getting in and out.
yeah things were looking insane in the garage.
First time back on the ground with an engine in it since like 2016?
Looks so mean
I got the car running on E85…
Picked up some ASM/ SACHS Coilovers….I had this refreshed by ASM before I sent it over.
As you guys know, I picked up this rear ap2 panel from Alan probably 2-3 years prior to this. Testing out my welding skills…
Took a break and installed a ZOOM penta mirror on the S2k.
Epoxy primered.
After some seam sealer… I sent it with steel-it silver. It’s actually a pretty damn good match for a silverstone car and goes on super well.
Tail lights on and ASM Siren exhaust…..camber much?
New OEM bumper thing, and ASM crash bar…. support the original manufactures not the knock off guys!
My buddy donated an ap1 rear bumper to the cause….
Ap2 spark plug cover on!
Airbox on!
Drove the car to formula S
Temporary intake setup
Picked up some ASM karo mats from formula S
Picked up an ASM hood from Formula S too…. FRP version.
ITR 😦
Drove it to a friends house…. Multi-colored af.
My gas cap came from a Japanese car….
In 2022 this was cheap E85…. in 2025 it’s not that cheap since it’s now around 2.85-3.00
Testing out a different arm setup.
This is the gruppe m intake that came with the BMW E30 M3….. It sorta works as a temporary solution…
Took a quick Trip to Catalina Island.
Mugen Dry Carbon Hardtop installed. I managed to grab one of the last ones after it became discontinued.
One of the holy grail pieces I’ve always wanted….
Hell yeah.
B18C with Mahle Pistons came back from the Machine shop for a friends car.
ASM front tow hook came in
Swapped to an ASM coilpack cover
ASM tow front tow hook installed.
Tore down the B18C out of the ITR… That’s not good
Or this.
Shirt seems legit
Went to Larry Chen’s first type-s meet at Fujiwara Tofu Cafe. Guy in the VW was a dick to me when I asked him if the car gets hot inside….
Getting ready to convert the BMW E30M3 to an Electric Water Pump…. and electric fans. Clutch fan tools in hand….
From where it started beginning of the year to now….
Putting together the high comp B18c. Toda ITBs of course… Toda carbon airbox of course…. Toda Cams of course….
CR stiffener installed…
It’s so beautiful….
Diana from Oniwraps must of dropped off her J’s Racing s2k at the shop in 2022….
New Injectors… went a step bigger 550cc… but turns out I almost maxed it out
in 2025 this car is down for some work… I kinda miss it.
My friend took delivery of an EK9 I imported for him…
Hung out with my buddy Chase
His EG6 SIR-S being worked on…
At fujiwara tofu cafe….
I got the car tuned at unrivaled tuning…. made 240whp and 161ftlbs of torque. A stock S2k Ap1 on this dyno makes around 200whp and ap2 around 210whp.
now the bad part……. Shortly after getting the car tuned. I wanted to see what the car could do on the track. I was out of town, so I told my hotshoe friend to take the car to BW for Socal Driver’s Club that my good buddy Areen runs, remember him?
My car at BW ready to rock…
Unfortunately after a session or 2 as my friend was slowing down and pulling in he noticed a knock….
Spoiler alert, it turned out to be the journal bearings on 1 and 2… when I measured out the journals 1 and 2 were the tightest. It was able to save this engine…. I’ll update you in future post. This engine did survive the dyno and driving almost a thousand miles before this. I wonder what caused this? not enough oil? Oil temps? Oil pressure was fine…. Urge didn’t mention how much oil needed to be put in or come with a dip stick. Apparently I was the only person running this on a running car, they didn’t even run this in a development car, I wonder…. oh well, I will come out better and stronger… This also makes me second guess URGE parts if this is how much R&D they do
Probably one of the few ASM tow hook users that have actually used the tow hook.
