Back at it again guys, less food more cars this post. I also went to Japan in 2023 and 2024….. There is a lot to catch up on. As always please check my video for a recap of my Japan trip.
Back on the road again in my Nissan rental…. E46 with an e46 license plate….
Made a quick stop at Daikoku PA since I was heading in that direction anyways. Daikoku nowadays is a foreigner tourist zoo unfortunately. JDM “tour guides” aka “I’m in Japan and I don’t have a real job” are ruining this for everyone. It’s a fucking parking area, you don’t see me promoting “CA car culture tour guide, I will take you to NORMS, a random parking lot, and if we’re lucky, you’ll get a state ref”. I’ve digressed, the best time for Daikoku PA is during the daytime since that’s when the adults come out and they usually bring out some spicy rides. Side note, the characters for Daikoku is BIG BLACK (大黑), stick that in your SEO and smoke it.

I bought these Initial d cookies, I was planning on giving it to my homies at Fujiwara Tofu Cafe, but with it being a cardboard box in my check in luggage, it got crushed, sorry guys!

Every PA/SA has their own local specialty cookie/cake/snack. Daikoku PA is pretty much Yokohama, they got the yokohama goods.

his buddy with the mini is an automotive photographer. Back in 2022, people in Japan were pretty open. Japan was largely isolated from COVID-19. Visitors were required to quarantine and complete other paperwork. These guys struck up a conversation quickly and were quite warm.

Next day I went to Haneda Airport to go back home.
Got some Katsu at the airport….and left. Man the food at Haneda is a billion times better than Narita.
